Read Across America Week

Los_Angeles_Galaxy_logo.svg.pngNEA’s Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids and books. This year LA Galaxy Star Squad and front office members came to our school to help encourage reading among students with an opportunity to win Galaxy prizes and giveaways. LA Galaxy representatives visited classrooms to read a book by the famous children's author who forever changed the way children's book were written and continues to inspire generations, Dr. Seuss. While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books and 156th Street School celebrates his 112th birthday with the help of the Galaxy team.
